Membership Types

Professional Membership

CMAA is an individual membership, meaning that your membership is your own and will stay with you throughout your club management career. Memberships cannot be transferred to anyone else. When you join CMAA, you will pay the first-year National rate of $500 ($250 if you join between April 1 and August 31) and your local Chapter dues based on your club’s location. CMAA National dues are on a step program, your second-year rate will be $650 and in your third year you will see the prevailing dues rate for your National renewal. Chapter dues rates and fees remain at the discretion of each Chapter and all renewals will be billed separately.

Please note that your National dues will renew according to the fiscal year, not your join date. National renewal invoices are typically mailed out in August and payments are due by November 1. Those who join between April 1 and August 31 will pay a prorated National dues amount when you first join ($250), and all will renew at the second-year rate ($650) for the upcoming membership term. Your Chapter dues will renew separately from your National renewal and will come from your local Chapter office. Both your National and Chapter dues must stay current in order to keep an active CMAA membership.

Student Membership

CMAA offers many opportunities for students to become acquainted with the club management profession and onto the path to leadership early. By joining CMAA, you have begun to take steps to further your professional development through meetings, events, practical experiences, internships, education, and conferences. Combined with classroom theories and networking with peers and managers, you are doing exactly what you need to do to be successful in the club industry. Being a CMAA student member is a great way to jump start your future! Good luck with your studies–we look forward to working with you.

Non-paying members are dropped from the CMAA roster on December 31 of each year. If you were dropped and would like to reinstate your membership, you may do so by paying your invoice located in your CMAA account profile. The renewal invoices will remain available until March 31. As of April 1, if you wish to reinstate your membership, please contact the Membership Team for a prorated invoice. Members who have lapsed due to non-payment may reinstate without penalty within one year of membership expiration.
