Chapter Idea Fair
Carolinas Chapter Mentorship Program
The Carolinas Chapter developed a mentorship program to enhance the relationships between young managers and seasoned managers within our chapter. This has bolstered our sense of community and has created accountability and structure, in order to make the program valuable to both mentees and mentors.
We identified chapter members who were willing and able to become mentors, put their photo and summary/bio on the mentor page of the website and directed potential mentees here to research who would be a good fit for them. All mentees are encouraged to reach out to potential mentors to make a connection and then, once selected, a list of criteria is given to complete over the course of a year and suggested discussion topics are provided, to cover within those meetings/networking opportunities. CMAA's MID Mentee program is an additional component that can be added.
OUR PROGRAM OUR MISSION
To provide a mentor-mentee platform to introduce our entry and mid-level managers to continuing education in the club industry by way of networking one-on-one with their volunteer mentor of choice over a one-year period. Mentoring Mentoring an entry – mid level manager through one specialization of the MID Manager in Development Program at CMAA University or completion of a one-year documented mentorship is a requirement of the CCE Certification.
