Entry Details
Bringing Smiles Home: Outreach That Matters with Care and Cheer is a collaborative relationship of Ronald McDonald House Charities–Upper Midwest and the Upper Midwest CMAA Chapter. The program is designed to bring practical support, comfort, encouragement, and joyful experiences to families whose children are receiving medical care. The initiatives align with RMHC Upper Midwest’s mission of keeping families together and providing a compassionate home away from home.
Implementation
The Upper Midwest Chapter wanted to do more than just say they supported the Ronald McDonald House Charities-Upper Midwest. They wanted a supportive connection that donated meaningful $'s and a component every year for the children and their families that were staying at the four Twin City Area houses while the children were undergoing medical treatment for issues that changed the family dynamic forever. That component was lunch for all of the families at the four houses. The chapter's committment has been in place for a decade and has reached levels that were unimaginable when the relationship began.
