Lead Forward: Coaching Lessons from the Field

Wisconsin Badger Chapter

Entry Details

The Education Committee created “Lead Forward: Coaching Lessons from the Field,” an immersive education and networking experience designed to help club professionals explore leadership through the lens of high-performing teams.

The two-part program began with a social evening at Green Bay Country Club, providing members and guests an opportunity to build relationships in a relaxed setting. The following day, participants gathered at Lambeau Field for a leadership program featuring Wayne Larrivee, the voice of the Green Bay Packers. His presentation, “Leadership Through the Eyes of a Coach,” encouraged attendees to consider the communication, culture, preparation, and team-building practices that drive successful organizations.

The Chapter enhanced the learning experience by pairing the education session with a Lambeau Field tour and Packers Hall of Fame visit. This memorable setting brought the leadership theme to life and created a distinctive education program that combined professional learning with an iconic Wisconsin experience.

The event enhanced the Chapter by offering engaging, relevant education beyond a traditional meeting format. It strengthened member connections, encouraged guest participation, showcased the Chapter’s ability to deliver unique programming, and provided attendees with leadership ideas they could apply within their clubs and teams.

Implementation

The Chapter developed a two-day experience that combined networking, education, and a behind-the-scenes cultural experience. The program opened with an evening social at Green Bay Country Club, followed by a morning program at Lambeau Field that included breakfast, a featured leadership presentation by Wayne Larrivee, a Lambeau Legendary Tour, and access to the Packers Hall of Fame.

The event was promoted through the Chapter website, mobile app, and member communications, with guests encouraged to attend. The accessible $75 registration fee helped make a high-quality leadership experience available to a broad audience.

The program was designed to be informative, engaging, and memorable. Its combination of peer connection, a recognized leadership voice, and an iconic Wisconsin venue created enthusiasm around the event and reinforced the Chapter’s commitment to creative, meaningful professional education.
