Moonshine University

Entry Details

In Spring 2022, 27 Ohio Valley Chapter members attended Moonshine University, a six hour education with industry experts. All attendees earned certification as an executive bourbon steward.

Implementation

Launched as a district education opportunity, all OVC members were invited to join.  "The bourbon class was really cool. Definitely recommend it to anyone trying to be more advanced into bourbon. They did a lot of sensory stuff to try and teach what you smell and taste when drinking. Also a lot of history and they show you how they make their bourbon on site.  I’ve never seen it like that so it was really cool and I learned a bunch.    Definitely would recommend to any other clubs manager or head bartenders to go to it.
