National Golf Day Outing

Greater Southwest Chapter

Entry Details

The National Golf Day Outing strengthened GSW CMAA’s role as an industry advocate, community partner, and collaborator by bringing Arizona’s major golf associations together with one unified voice. It increased our visibility with legislators, community leaders, and the public while highlighting golf’s economic, workforce, and community impact. Through community engagement, media outreach, press coverage, and social media, we extended our message beyond the event and showcased the importance of Arizona’s golf industry. Most importantly, it demonstrated the power of collaboration and collective advocacy.

Implementation

GSW CMAA partnered with Arizona’s major golf associations to bring National Golf Day to the State Capitol. Each organization hosted a tent where legislators, government leaders, and the public could learn about the industry through education, interactive golf activities, food, and networking. The event combined advocacy, education, and celebration, while local news and golf publications extended the message beyond the Capitol.

The response was extremely positive, with members recognizing the value of coming together to advocate for golf, educate decision-makers, and strengthen the industry’s collective voice. It demonstrated that when Arizona’s golf organizations work together, we can create a much greater impact.
