NECMA In Focus has enhanced the chapter by creating a visual record of the year and showcasing the energy, engagement, and camaraderie of our membership. Rather than simply communicating what events took place, the newsletter allows members to experience the chapter through the people and moments captured in photographs.

Most importantly, NECMA In Focus helps tell the story of our chapter. It captures the connections, friendships, professional development, and shared experiences that happen at our events and creates a keepsake that members can look back on and share with their colleagues.

Implementation

NECMA In Focus was developed as a new way to capture and share the chapter experience beyond traditional event announcements and emails. Throughout the year, photos are collected from chapter meetings, educational programs, tournaments, social events, and other chapter activities. The photos are then compiled into a digital newsletter and distributed to the membership twice a year.

The response from members has been very positive.  The newsletter also gives members who were unable to attend an event an opportunity to see what they missed and feel connected to the chapter. The first edition generated enthusiasm and positive feedback, reinforcing the value of continuing the publication twice each year.
