This idea enhanced our chapter by creating a unique and engaging professional development experience for Club Chefs, F&B teams, and managers. It fostered camaraderie, expanded industry knowledge, and strengthened connections between members and vendor partners. The day trip provided inspiration, new resources, and hands-on exposure that attendees could bring back to their clubs, ultimately elevating the chapter’s value to its members.

Implementation

The idea was implemented by sponsoring a complimentary chartered bus trip to Downeast Seafood, Chef’s Warehouse, and Monser Family Brands in Bronx, NY. Each stop featured educational tours, live demonstrations, and generous tastings, making the day interactive and memorable. The general reaction from chapter members has been overwhelmingly positive—they appreciated the opportunity to learn in a fun, one-of-a-kind format and valued the mix of education, networking, and culinary inspiration.
