Speed Dating, Interview Style

With the labor shortage facing our industry, our goal was to equip club leaders with current employment knowledge and tactics. In addition, this fun event paired veteran members with our student members, together they helped these attendees polish their resumes and practice interviewing styles.

Implementation

We invited a leading club search firm in to provide us with the latest employment trends and recruiting techniques. Using break out sessions, we rotated our student members through "speed dating" interview rounds with current, local club general managers.  Each interviewer had a table to conduct a mock interview.  Interviewees had the opportunity to present their resumes, conduct an interview and receive feedback.  Students were able to do this three to four times, and gain excellent practice.
