Since the mid-1980’s, the OVC has had only two Managing Directors. That continuity of experience and knowledge is essential to the proper functioning of the chapter. To the absolute greatest extent possible, the replacement of the current Managing Director should attempt to maintain that level of experience and knowledge of the chapter and its operation. This succession plan should be used as a general guideline to make that happen.


When our current Managing Director announced his retirement earlier this summer, this policy became crucial for a successful search and smooth transition to the Chapter's third Managing Director.
