Virtual Onboarding for New and Transfer Members

When COVID prevented us from gathering in-person one of the most challenging things was the inability to meet, socialize and get to know new members at events.  We wanted to increase engagement with our new and transfer members so turned our onboarding process from an in-person one to a virtual one creating separate orientations for new and transfer members.

Implementation

There is a committee chair for new members and another for transfer members and both work with the MD to do orientations that are catered to the level of membership the individual is at. We have been able to successfully orientate 100% of our new and transfer members virtually and this virtual onboarding process is a great touch point. We have seen a lot of engagement over the course of Covid with these new members.
