In 1981 (46 years before CMAA's Centennial), Dorothy Donovan, MCM, was the first woman in CMAA’s history to be elected to the Board of Directors and was re-elected in 1984. She would also be the first woman to earn her Master Club Manager (MCM) designation in 2003.
