Did you know that CMAA's first attempt at a scholarship program began in 1974? That year, CMAA announced a Continuing Scholarship Program for college students interested in the club profession. Pre-dating the Joe Perdue scholarship by nearly 15 years, this program awarded 10 $1,000 scholarships to students attending an accredited school or college, with special emphasis to children and relatives of club managers, club employees, club members, or members of their families who were interested in careers in the club industry.
