In 1998, Willmoore "Bill" Kendall, CCM, served as President of CMAA. His impact has been long-lasting: In 2001, the Willmoore H. Kendall Scholarship Fund was established in his memory through The Club Foundation. The purpose of this lucrative scholarship is to provide tuition support to individuals pursuing the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation and provides tuition coverage for all of the required Business Management Institutes. To date, approximately 130 club management professionals have benefitted from this award.
