25 Days of Christmas Sale

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

To encourage holiday shopping at the Club, the golf staff created the 25 Days of Christmas, featuring member-favorite items and brands on sale on specific dates leading up to Christmas. Highly promoted through the golf shop’s Instagram, this promotion increased traffic through the golf shop by a landslide. In December 2018, the golf shop broke a record with $130,000 of sales in that month alone, increasing over $30,000 from December 2017.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The idea of the 25 days of Christmas sale was implemented by the golf team. After designating a specific sale per day leading up to Christmas, the team worked primarily through the golf shop Instagram to encourage members to complete their holiday shopping at the golf shop. Each Instagram post highlighted the sale of the day while finding humorous ways to show off the product. Golf Pro Chris became the face of the sale and the club members absolutely loved the postings. They marked their calendars for the specific dates the items they wanted were on sale, and some admitted only coming in after seeing the Instagram post of the day and buying items that were not originally on their list. Members constantly mentioned that they looked forward to seeing what the golf team came up with for the post of the day.
