How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The Aquatics and Recreation Conference was created to build a real community for aquatics and recreation professionals, similar to what racquets has already done so well in the club industry. Pools are often seen as a pain point, but we wanted to flip that and show how they can be one of the most powerful drivers of member engagement. By connecting professionals who deal with the same challenges, the conference helps clubs operate smarter, share ideas, and raise the standard of aquatics programming. That ultimately leads to better-run facilities and better experiences for members.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We brought together a wide range of speakers, from Olympic athletes to the Savannah Bananas, to deliver content that was both inspiring and practical. The goal was to give attendees ideas they could actually take back and use, while also building relationships with peers across the industry. The energy in the room felt more like a movement than a typical conference, with people connecting, collaborating, and sharing ideas nonstop. Clubs have already started implementing what they learned, and members are seeing the results through more creative, confident aquatics and recreation programming.
