Idea Fair

Beyond Our Club

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

When Hurricane Melissa relief efforts were needed in Jamaica, the Club took a personal and meaningful approach to supporting recovery. The Club partnered with Shore to Shore LLC to ship two 55-gallon barrels of relief supplies to Jamaica.

This initiative was especially important to us as a member of our culinary team is from Jamaica and still has close family living there. By responding in a way that directly supported his community, the Club reinforced its commitment to caring for our people while extending our impact beyond the Club’s walls through a thoughtful, peer-driven relief effort.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

By using a cost-efficient shipping service, we were able cover all expenses, including shipping and necessary documentation, for a total of $375. Supplies were collected through donations from members, staff, and vendors. The response from members and staff was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing pride in supporting a relief effort that was both personal and impactful. .

Upon arrival, our employees' parents will receive the goods and distribute them through their local church to support the surrounding community.   Our culinary team member is currently traveling to Jamaica to assist with these efforts.
