How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Chevy Chase Club reimagined Family Programming by expanding beyond traditional children’s events to engage toddlers, teens, and multi-generational families. Each event was designed with a built-in “plus one” element, encouraging members to invite a friend or extended family member, which increased participation, strengthened social connections, and created a more vibrant club culture.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We identified areas across our property that could hold unique and impactful youth & family events. This led to collaboration with other departments to utilize spaces such as Golf Maintenance, the Ice Rink (during the off season), the Driving Range, and the Golf Course. Members have been very receptive and attendance has been strong. They appreciate the opportunity to experience different areas of the Club and enjoy showcasing events that highlight the full breadth of what we offer.
