Idea Fair

Burns Night

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

A Burns Night is a Scottish dinner to honor the late Scottish poet, Robert Burns. The event is usually held around the birthday of the poet, January 25th. As part of our first annual Burns Night, we included a four-course traditional Scottish dinner (including haggis!), a wide variety of scotch from the different regions of Scotland, a live bagpiper and a packed itinerary of toasts, poems, and singing.

How was this idea implemented and what have been the club members' reactions?

The event took place on the evening of January 23rd. Members paid an admission of $65++ per person for the event. The members in attendance were beyond impressed! This event allowed the membership to try new foods and see old friends in a safe, socially distanced setting. The members are still talking about the event to this day, almost a month later!
