Candy Cane Grams

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

During the holiday season, we gave staff an opportunity to purchase “Candy Cane Grams” – a small thank you note with a candy cane attached – for $1.00 to give to fellow staff. All money raised was donated to the CCV Cares Foundation, which is our charitable foundation available to support fellow employees in times of economic hardship.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The goodwill this spread during the busy season was so apparent. Employees loved getting a two-for-one feel good moment - bringing a smile to a fellow employee and donating money to a good internal cause. Since its inception, the program has raised almost $3,500 for the CCV Cares Foundation.
