Idea Fair
CCC Junior High at Charlotte Country Club
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
This idea has helped enhance our teen and pre-teen engagement at club events. In the youth department, this is the hardest age group to keep involved and excited to come to club events, so giving them there own place to shine has helped create more engagement. We had 110 teens at the our first teen event after introducing CCC Junior High, so this idea most definitely helped enhance our club operations.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The idea was introduced to our members by being featured in our Junior Journal, which is our monthly email that is sent to our members with children under 18 to inform them on upcoming youth events and important information. Our communications team then created an email group that included members with pre-teen and teen children. Anytime we have a CCC Junior High event or field trip coming up, we send an email to this group. The members in this group immediately shared their excitement and let us know that their teens felt special. We ended up having 110 teens at our first teen event after implementing CCC Junior High. This is a big increase in attendees compared to our teen events in the past that averaged around 40-50 attendees.
