Chef Series Cooking Class

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Our Chef Cooking Class is a series of events that has allowed us to promote all areas of our culinary team and for them to be part of the program; Executive Sous, Banquet Sous, Pastry Chef and Executive Chef. This has given the team the comfort level to have one-on-one discussions and for the members to call them directly for recipes, ideas and party menus. Once members have put a face to the back-of-the-house team, they look forward to seeing them when they come to dine at the club!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The Food & Beverage team created this event idea in a round table discussion. We made sure that all areas and strengths of the kitchen were highlighted. The team thought of the idea to give all participants a small giveaway following each class. For example, all members received an Elkridge logoed charcuterie board for our charcuterie class. This has been an extremely popular series with the variety of classes offered. We see members of all ages, genders and cooking abilities participate.
