Foundations of Thanks - Committee Appreciation

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Foundations of Thanks is a complimentary formal dinner for all of our volunteer leaders at the club who donate their time and talents to our various committees. Our Board chairs speak about the accomplishments of the committee that year  which helps to promote the work of each committee. Foundations of Thanks has become an annual tradition which promotes, celebrates and shows our volunteer leaders just how much they mean to us.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Members receive a formal invitation in the mail and are invited to join with their spouse. Seating is grouped by committee which allows to spouses to get to know the other members that serve on the committee with their spouse. Committee members share that this is a special night of celebration for them and a source of pride.
