How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
To give members a one-stop-shop for all Covid-19 information, BHYC created a Covid-19 Ribbon located on the BHYC website and mobile app. The Covid Ribbon provided members with up-to-date rules and regulations that could be easily accessed and shared. This outlet enabled the Club to communicate the most important Covid-19 related information without the need of a daily push to member’s inboxes.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Utilizing the mobile app, BHYC was able to create a ribbon that linked back to a page that could be updated in real time, which hosted content ranging from text and graphics to links directly to state resources. The Ribbon, a vibrant red, was located on the forefront of the app’s home page, allowing for quick, easy access. The members were able to share this content, which included all Club Covid-19 policies, with their guests before their arrival to the Club. The Ribbon also allowed BHYC to submit a questionnaire to the member upon launching the app to verify they were in good health and maintaining compliance with the state’s travel and quarantine advisory. Responses were logged in a database and checked numerous times a week to ensure the safety and health of our staff and membership. Offering the membership a centralized resource explaining all of the Club’s COVID policies led to a safe and spectacular summer. Member’s and their guests were able to take the time to fully understand the new policies before arriving at the Club, which led to less questions and safety concerns upon their arrival.
