Idea Fair

Crisp Edges

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

We took a piece of 20 gauge wire, wrapped around a 4” piece of weed eater line, and “braided” it around itself to secure into a handheld oscillating tool. This helps us edge our yardage plaques on the tees and fairways quickly and accurately. Previously, used hand shears, which worked well but quickly dulled and caused hand cramps.

We can edge plaques quicker which gives us the ability to move onto other tasks and accomplish more.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We saw a need, so we filled that need. I would assume the members' reactions are the same as this process has not changed the result, just that we can do more because of the time saved.
