Crispy Chicken Tender Competition

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

We take chicken tenders very seriously at Champions Run. This is every kid’s favorite poolside snack or meal, with a side of fries and ranch. Last year, we experimented with different suppliers of chicken strips and our kids were not happy. We soon realized that their opinion matters because they are our biggest customers! Our head Chef decided to bring in a professional panel of judges to pick the chicken strips for the summer; except, these were no average judges, they were kids that were at the pool that day. One by one, kids lined up to taste different types of chicken strips and voted on taste, crispiness, amount of breading, and more.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Thankfully we had a few different types of different chicken strips in the freezer to donate to this cause. One hot, sunny May afternoon, we fried up these chicken tenders and let each judge try each kind one by one. There was a clear consensus among these kids, and the judges gave the final word on which type of chicken strip would be their go-to for the summer. Our judges were so excited to be a part of this executive decision and were grateful they decided to come up to the pool that day.
