Event Setup Guide
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
The Event Setup Guide is a binder detailing every buffet and station setup used by our event team. We standardized each menu offered to members and guests, with each page showing the necessary food items, equipment list, and a photo of the completed setup. Additionally, it includes layouts for rooms used in recurring events hosted multiple times a month. This binder has boosted team productivity and ensured consistent event quality across staff shifts. With easy access to setup details and photos, the guide streamlines preparation and enhances Front of House presentation and Back of House readiness.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The Event Operations and Culinary Teams collaborated to design visually appealing buffet setups that optimize service flow. We assessed all buffet equipment, creating setups that balance aesthetics and efficiency, with varied styles for different events. Both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams are enthusiastic about this project, as it enables FOH to work more independently, uphold club standards, and maintain consistency across a team of over 30. The guide has reduced the need for FOH-BOH meetings, cut management training time, and improved efficiency by catering to both visual and reading learners. Our team appreciates having all necessary information at their fingertips.
