Family Activities Club

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Like many private clubs, the Detroit Athletic Club seeks new ways to attract the next generation of members, many of whom are parents who very much wish to begin sharing the DAC experience with their own children.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We renamed our Youth Activities Committee the Family Activities Club and hired a new youth and family activities coordinator. We even created a new logo. And of course, we refocused our calendar of events to appeal to not only children but also parents—even DAC grandparents.

To the extent we can quantify our success, we would note that this year the Family Activities Club added 32 members—and is excited for many engaging events for our DAC families of all ages in 2022!
