Idea Fair
Fastest Round of Golf
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
One ball. 18 holes. One unforgettable rush.
We brought together over 60 members and staff for a high-energy, team-style challenge: complete an entire round of golf as fast as possible using just one ball. Players leapfrogged across tees, fairways, and greens. Whoever was closest to the ball hit the next shot, then raced ahead in a golf cart to rejoin the action a few holes down. The result was nonstop movement, tons of laughter, and pure fun. It was such a hit, we did it twice and our members immediately asked for it to become an annual tradition!
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We kicked off the event with food and drinks while members mingled and received a quick overview of the challenge, course logistics, and starting assignments. Participants were strategically positioned on tees, fairways, and greens so everyone knew exactly where to begin and where to rotate next. Once in place, we headed to the course and launched the challenge with a blowhorn signaling the official start of the timer. Players hustled between shots, coordinated on the fly, and worked together seamlessly to keep the ball moving. It was truly a team effort from start to finish. After completing the first round, everyone regrouped for drinks, compared notes, and immediately decided to go again to try to beat our time. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and members are already asking when the event will return next season. Everyone is excited to try to beat our official Fastest Time from 2025!
