Idea Fair

First Ever Membership Meeting

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

At Champions Run, we have never hosted an all-membership meeting. However, we decided we really need to have one as we plan on doing $7 million renovation and implementing a capital dues program. After sending out multiple membership surveys and analyzing all feedback, as well as working with the Board of Directors; we ‘bit the bullet’ and decided to hold a membership meeting to articulate all the exciting news coming in at the club.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We started by sending out membership surveys to gain feedback on all the departments, looking at what our membership was craving for at Champions Run. Next, we worked with ownership and the board to develop our master plan. Our master plan is a ten year seven-million-dollar renovation. Funding for the project is by implementing a capital dues program and eliminating our food and beverage minimums. Finally, we held an all-membership meeting and created a website where we could relay all the information about our capital improvements, striving to be very transparent with the membership. It has generated tremendous excitement amongst our membership though our engagement with them and visuals. We believe we used the strategy to formulate and execute the plan perfectly.
