Concert at the Creek—Fripp Fest 2020
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Our membership anticipates Fripp Fest each year. For 2020, we really changed things up and the membership was thrilled. We actually had a concert on the driving range with plenty of social distancing. Participation was incredible and our membership was able to be outside enjoying each other, great music, and wonderful food.
How was this idea implemented and what have been the club members' reactions?
A lot of planning took place for this event between our group sales department, F&B, our activities department, and marketing. Hours were spent to try and figure out the perfect way to get our members together without violating COVID guidelines. We looked to the largest outdoor space we had and blocked out 16x10 spaces with 10 feet between for social distancing. We sold each square to the members and they decorated them. The members drove up in their golf carts, picked up food and gear, and went to their designated space for a night to remember. The turn-out was so good, we will be having this event twice a year.
