Idea Fair
Timber Pines Community Association Annual Holiday Golf Cart Parade
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
This very special holiday event involves members and their families; promoting community engagement and creating unforgettable memories. With over 70 carts participating, members meet with the decorated carts (and costumes) for a social while preparing for the parade. Once in motion, the parade participants toss candy to the children, milk bones to the pets and spread good cheer to everyone!
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The idea was implemented by marketing the event and members registering to participate. All members are encouraged to come in costume and/or decorate their golf cart. This event is a wonderful opportunity for families to celebrate the holidays as a community; sharing their family with their friends and neighbors. It is also an opportunity for those members who may be celebrating the holidays alone...an experience of good cheer and holiday magic bringing the joy of Christmas to all! The members have lined the streets with almost 1,000 spectators!
