Golf Cart Training Video

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Employees outside of golf operations are often asked to deliver food and beverages to the golf course, or build stations on the golf course for tournaments. Many times these employees have little knowledge of how to operate golf carts and utility vehicles, they don’t know the hazards that exist or have an understanding of etiquette when they encounter play. We created a video to ensure that information is uniformly shared with employees.  Themes throughout the video included safety, promotion of awareness to the areas that pose hazardous threats, understanding of where and where not to drive, not disturbing play and a bit of humor.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This video was featured during training sessions, shared with all existing employees and added to the new-hire punch list.  This was an effective tool to disseminate important information while maintaining a level of levity and interest in the subject.
