Golf Shop Holiday Sale

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

We do a sale on Wednesdays before Christmas in December. The Golf Shop has extended hours staying open until 8 PM. Starting at 5 PM we offer beer and wine as well as hors d'oeuvres for the shoppers. Members and their guests can shop and then draw a discount for their items. The discounts range from 15-50%.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This idea was implemented using the golf and food and beverage departments working in unison to offer something to entice members to come out and shop. The members love it. This year was our best December ever. Our actual 2025 December revenue was $274,000 with a PY of $218,000. This 25% increase is attributed to creative ways to enhance the member experience in our golf shop.
