Idea Fair

Graduation

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

This event provided our community members with a way to celebrate their graduating teens in a safe way! The Class of 2020 was denied many rites of passage due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Graduation from High School and College is a major milestone and many schools canceled their ceremonies this year for safety reasons. At Hampton Hall Club, it was important to safely celebrate these students as they embarked on new journeys past school.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

In May, Hampton Hall Club invited recent graduates and their families to decorate 10x10 tents in the Community Clubhouse Parking Lot. Each student's tent was more than 20 feet from the next graduate's tent. The whole Hampton Hall Community was invited to cheer on the graduates from their socially distanced golf carts. After a short ceremony with key note speaker, the members circled the lot lined with graduate's tents, honking and cheering as the graduates waved. Every member who did not have a golf cart was supplied one by the Hampton Hall Golf Course.
