How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

One of the Best Club Events of the year due mainly to how the membership embraces the children and the spirit of Halloween. Really brings the entire community together.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The idea actually came from a receptionist in our Tennis Pro Shop 10 years ago. She thought it would be a good idea to have all the children inside the gates of Long Cove come trick or treat around the clubhouse. It quickly expanded on to the golf course. The event has grown so large (200ppl) that the club now has to rent a fleet of golf carts. Members go all out in costume and in decorating their stations on the golf course.
