Halloween Tarot Card Readings

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

This year, we enhanced our annual Halloween Cocktail Party by introducing live tarot card readings as a featured experience.

By adding a clear theme and a professionally facilitated activity, the event evolved from a standard cocktail party into a more engaging, purpose-driven experience. Tarot readings (typically a paid service) were offered complimentary, adding value and encouraging members to try something new.

Operationally, the concept helped boost attendance during a traditionally quieter time of year and increased overall engagement. This free cocktail party also supported same-evening dinner reservations, strengthening food and beverage participation and reinforcing the event’s role as a driver of member activity.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We hired two professional tarot card readers to offer live readings throughout the event and branded the party with a cohesive, mystical tarot theme. Staff members dressed as individual tarot cards, and marketing featured playful, “Zoltar Speaks” inspired cards distributed in advance to build excitement.

Member response was overwhelmingly positive. Attendance increased compared to prior years, and members enjoyed the novelty, theming, and complimentary experience. The added activity energized a typically slower season and reinforced the value of creative, experiential programming.
