How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

This annual event was a member favorite! The adults loved it because their kids were doing something fun, while learning. The kids loved it because of the baking, making their own pizzas, and getting to play fun games with their friends.

We advertised this event for children between the ages of 7-12 and we had two age groups, with more advanced games for the older kids.

This event gave kids the chance to interact with club staff and to learn more about what the cooks and chefs did in the kitchen. To conclude the event, we did a raffle that gave the kids a chance to pie the chef, and that was a hit!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The first year we did this the event had about 50 attendees and it was very well received. The subsequent years we added more activities and had over 100 attendees. The kids loved it and our kitchen staff enjoyed interacting with them. Parents loved it because they were able to drop off their kids and have a few hours of free time while the kids were entertained.
