Harry Potter Halloween Party
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Our idea was to bring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to Green Tree Country Club for our annual Halloween Bash.
Our Halloween party enhanced our members, management team, and our staff's expectations and experiences at the club during the Holiday season. Operationally, it has set a new standard for future member events and parties at the club.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Going into the holiday season, we knew this event had to be something that would attract all age groups. The idea itself was easy to agree on, but then it took months of planning to pull off. Our staff met every week for three months planning out each detail for the Halloween bash. As one task was completed, new ones were added as the levels of creativity continued to grow. Each member of our management team was assigned specific tasks based on their skill sets. This included our chefs making chocolate frogs and a rice crispy snake, to our maintenance department re-creating Diagon Alley storefronts, and our marketing department crafting a sorting hat. We rose to the occasion, serving around 850 members over a three-hour evening. The members walked away impressed with all the activities, crafts, buffets, and games! We had multiple members tell us their expectations are set even higher for next year! All in all, it was a successful night for us here at Green Tree Country Club.
