HGC Mystery Night

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

This idea came from our F&B team and is a private dinner experience. We send out just the date and time of the event while withholding the location and menu. This gives a mystery element to our event, while building anticipation with our membership as to where and what the event is going to be. This has given us the opportunity to create an excitement level throughout our club for a single event that has people selling out this particular event in less than 2 minutes.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This year we wanted to give our membership something they have been clamoring for and we delivered. The request has always been to have a outdoor dinner underneath our 5 Japanese cherry blossoms off the fairway of our 13th hole. We worked together closely with our grounds staff to create an unforgettable night under the stars. Our Ground crew built a hayride type vehicle to transport the members to the dining site. Our F&B team went above and beyond to create a elevated menu and deliver on our standards over a mile away from the kitchen on the golf course. Our members were blown away and this may have been our best one yet.
