How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

We are always looking for ways to create that”Wow” event at the club. Being located close to the Blue Ridge Mountains, what better way to capture the beautiful views than from the air.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We found a company that does Hot Air Balloon rides and met with them for a site visit to find the perfect location. Picnic baskets were paired with music to entertain everyone while waiting for their reserved time slot. As the evening progressed the fire could be seen lifting the balloon which added to the event. Two local artist painted pictures of the Balloon rides. Members could not stop talking about the evening and have asked when the next one will be.
