Interactive Cooking Class
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Our sales for a slower day increased. Members love these classes while also getting to know employees that are part of the culinary department. It helped us in rolling out new menu items because we are hearing them talk at the class on what they would like to try next.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We wanted to create something more hands on with members regarding our culinary department. A lot of places offer cooking classes in that you watch a chef cook and then try the dish. We wanted to create something where members got their hands dirty, sort of speak, and learned how to prepare high end dishes. The members get chef hats, aprons, and take home recipe cards. They make one entree and one dessert per class. We keep them small to allow one on one from chefs. The wine director also pairs a red and white to go along with their meals. The classes are always sold out.
