Kid's Themed Olympics

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The club has a kids club/camp that is active in the summer time. We wanted to create something to wrap up the end of the summer. This was our largest attended kid event of the summer. Normally their parents drop the kids off and pick them up a few hours later. For this event they stayed and watched.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We though about planning this out earlier in the year. At every kids camp/club we had over the summer we added on larger physical activity. These activities became the events in the Olympics. We had relay races, swim races, tug of war, archery with suction dart arrows, and even a memory game. The kids loved it and were reward with medals for age brackets.
