Local Country Club Tween Olympics

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

This idea was created by a group of Youth Activities Professionals when brainstorming ways to help the Teen/Tween engagement challenge that we were all facing. We found that Teens/Tweens were more likely to participate in events if they knew their friends were going to be there - regardless of what Charlotte Club they belong to! This brought so much excitement for families of all clubs, having the opportunity to compete against other Teens, in fun, friendly, and familiar activities! Now the Teen/Tween programming opportunities are endless if we make it a shared event!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The collaboration between the clubs in Charlotte, NC was an exciting new concept for Members and Youth Activities Professionals alike! Parents and Tweens were eager to learn all about the event and sign up to compete! The kids had the best time, and the winning team brought home a huge trophy to display in their Youth Activities Center, sparking conversation, a sense of pride, and excitement for the next year!
