Medal of Honor Library

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Our remodeling of an existing space into the Medal of Honor library speaks to our club's military heritage and honors the eight club members who have received our nation's highest award for military valor, the Congressional Medal of Honor. It also educated our members and their children about these American heroes who were/are members of the club.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

A sub-committee comprising both retired and active duty members of the military was formed to oversee the remodeling of an existing library into the Medal of Honor library. This committee worked with staff and a 3rd party designer to create the new space that honors the eight club members who have received the Medal of Honor. The library was dedicated in a ceremony attended by over 200 ANCC members on Veteran's Day November 11 2023. The response has been overwhelming with club members and guests expressing delight and pride in their club and its effort to recognize/honor these American heroes who were/are members of ANCC
