Idea Fair

Member Christmas Tree

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Spreading Christmas cheer by making their own ornaments! A week into December we decided to buy a small live Christmas tree to place under our portico. To make it fun for our membership, we sold clear plastic ornaments for $2 each and asked members to design them however they wanted. The ornaments could be filled, painted, stickered, or wherever their imagination took them!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Members were able to sign up online for however many ornaments they wanted and could drive through and pick them up. We then sold them during our Santa Brunches and ended up selling 70 ornaments! They were given a deadline to bring them back so that the tree and all their ornaments could be showcased on social media. Some kids were super creative and filled it with goldish or cereal! Other families wrote their name or placed a family picture in the ornament! All members were excited to come and put their own ornament on the Member Tree for all to see!
