Monthly Employee Meetings
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
The club wanted to create something that brought all employees from the different departments together other than the typical Christmas or Summer party. Night time waiters do not normally interact with agronomy. These lunches have helped grow and tighten department to department relationships. Each employee gets to hear what other departments are working on. This has helped overall club operations also has lead to employees lending hand in other departments.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We plan the meeting/lunch on a slower day of the week that has the most employees here. This is Thursday for us. We will cater out lunch for that day. We always box up food for employees that can't make it over that day. When employees are eating we hold a quick meeting about club activities, future projects, celebrate employee birthdays and their work anniversaries. We will give everyone a raffle ticket as they come in. We do a few raffle give aways for some small cash prizes and some free PTO hours. We have also made employee sit at a table that doesn't have their department at it. This has allowed employees that may never interact get to know each other. Members will stop in and thank the staff, they love seeing all of us together.
