Idea Fair
More Than What's In Store
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Feedback from a member focus group revealed a lack of awareness around the Club's Special Order Program in the Golf Pro Shops. Many members did not realize how many items could be customized or how easy the special-order process was. By making customization options more visible at the point of purchase, the Club was able to better meet member preferences while improving the overall retail experience.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The retail team introduced simple informational hang tags on items that can be customized, highlighting available options such as additional colors, logo choices, and extended sizing. This allows members to try items in person, understand their options immediately, and place special orders with confidence. Members have responded positively to the added clarity and flexibility, and staff are able to answer questions more efficiently. The approach has supported continued growth in special orders while allowing the Club to carry less inventory and offer more choice across retail outlets.
