The introduction of staff-named food specials has significantly enhanced our club's operation, fostering staff involvement, ownership, and creativity. Inspired by the approach used by the sunglasses company, goodr, where staff contribute to naming sunglasses, we implemented a similar concept for our food specials. During line-ups, all staff members submit suggested names for the specials. The final selection process involves a fun and engaging event where a fan-blown cash cube, our Kraken mascot, and swirling air determine the chosen name. This unique approach has not only increased staff engagement and ownership but has also resulted in a noticeable boost in food sales.
