Idea Fair

New Club Fitting Experience

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Invite small groups of players to a private fitting and call it a “VIP Fitting.”

During the past 18 months, we have seen a large increase in the number of new golfers joining the game and needing new equipment. One way to encourage new or inexperienced players to purchase updated clubs is to create a VIP fitting experience that includes both the club’s golf professional and the club’s equipment representative.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

By inviting a small group – 1-4 players, the overall experience feels very exclusive and each player receives quality time with their golf professional. Players are more likely to ask questions and feel open to trying new clubs when they have a few friends around to encourage them. These smaller groups help members feel comfortable and less concerned about their golf swings, and provides them with a learning and improvement opportunity with their buddies – offer a few cocktails and the fun really begins!
